Join Emma for a luxury 3 night yoga retreat in a beautiful country house in tranquil Lake Coniston with expert teaching and restaurant-quality vegan food.
Due to popular demand our 2023 yoga retreat will be 3 nights! Arriving in the early evening on Friday for a practice and dinner and leaving on Monday after breakfast.
Views of Lake Coniston from every bedroom, vegan cakes every day, delicious 2 course vegan dinners and of course lots of yoga!
This relaxed retreat will support you into diving deep into your yoga practice to fall deeply in love with yourself, developing radical acceptance, opening up to living a life of peaceful loving kindness and leaving you refreshed, grounded and awakened.
Each practice will be designed to ease away resistance and to bring in fluidity in the body, breath and thought in order to enable radical acceptance and self-love. Through movement, breathing and sound practices, we will release resistance in the body and mind to allow for equilibrium and harmony. Embedded in each of the sessions will be mindfulness techniques, stress reduction tools and profound relaxation techniques.
We will explore Ashtanga Yoga, Asana workshops, Guided Meditation, Yoga Philosophy and how it relates to anxiety and stress - and what to do about it, Drumming, Soundbath & Mantra chanting. We will also have time for kayaking and paddleboarding, walks, and of course we will also enjoy lots of opportunity to enjoy nature and each other's company while immersing ourselves in our yoga practice.
The setting is an absolutely stunning property nestled in the hills by the shimmering waters of Lake Coniston and specifically refurbished to be a yoga retreat. The bedrooms are spacious and all beds have Hypnos mattresses for a gorgeous night's sleep.
Our yoga retreats are relaxed and fun places of friendship, chatter, laughter and learning. It's such a joy to give ourselves space to deepen our practice and nurture body, mind and soul.

about the Teacher
Emma Lowther-Wright: Studio Director
Hi, I'm Emma and I am very fortunate to have been trained to teach Ashtanga Yoga by world-renowned John Scott. John is one of the key teachers who brought Ashtanga yoga from India to Europe. Often referred to as 'Preston's yoga teacher' I am honoured to teach yoga to 150-200 people every week!
I am dedicated to and immersed in the Ashtanga practice and continue to travel to study with senior 500hr international teachers including Eddie Stern, Scott Johnson, Lucy Crawford-Scott and Greg Nardi.
I teach with an emphasis on clear communication, empowerment, joy and compassion. I am especially interested in the neuroscience of yoga, how yoga can release physically held mental and emotional tension and how yoga can help us to live with greater joy, confidence and ease.
As well as studio classes I work within the community teaching in workplaces and education settings and to members of our community with physical and mental health challenges including those with deafness, who use a wheelchair and have cognitive challenges.
My classes are heart-lifting, empowering, flowing dances to the rhythm of the breath. I share movement and meditation practices with kindness, encouragement and joy - I hope to welcome you to a class soon.
