Join Emma at the Rivington Reservoir for a back to nature escape to the woods.

This relaxed retreat includes counted Ashtanga Yoga, Soft Release Yoga, Guided Meditation, Introduction to Yoga Philosophy, Campfire Group Drumming & Mantra by the reservoir

Breakfast, Lunch and Vegan/veggie BBQ dinner are all included. The accommodation is on-site at the Anderton Centre, Rivington. It's basic but clean, all rooms are ensuite. You can choose sole occupancy, or if you are coming with a friend or family member and prefer to share you can do so, or you can ask me to arrange a shared room for you.

This is a lovely opportunity to reconnect with nature and each other.

Our yoga retreats are relaxed and fun places of friendship, chatter, laughter and learning. It's such a joy to give ourselves space to deepen our practice and nurture body, mind and soul, and of course we have lots of yoga classes and workshops as part of our retreats but perhaps our favourite part of every retreat is mealtimes when we sit for hours and share stories and ideas.

Is this yoga retreat suitable for yoga beginners?

Ashtanga Yoga is a challenging yoga practice, but you are encouraged to only do what you can and there are plenty of other activities over the two days to enable you to have a wonderful time. So, yes!

What is the accommodation like?

Each room has a bunk bed. You are welcome to book sole occupancy or a shared room. Each room is ensuite. You will make your own bed up from the sheets and pillowcases etc provided.

Do I need to bring anything?

Please bring a yoga mat, a hand towel and a bath towel. If the weather is wet please also bring sturdy shoes and warm clothing that you don't mind getting muddy

What is the location like?

The Anderton Centre is set in the woods by Rivington Reservoir, it's a lovely setting and we will be making the most of it by holding our classes in an upstairs room amongst the trees and (weather permitting) enjoying mantra and drum by the reservoir.

Payment can be by 3 instalments
Sole Occupancy £50 deposit upon booking. £50 to be paid by June 5th. Final £55 to be paid by September 5th
Shared Room £40 deposit upon booking. £45 to be paid by June 5th. Final £45 to be paid by September 5th

about the Teacher

Emma Lowther-Wright: Studio Director

Hi, I'm Emma and I am very fortunate to have been trained to teach Ashtanga Yoga by world-renowned John Scott. John is one of the key teachers who brought Ashtanga yoga from India to Europe.

I am dedicated to and immersed in the Ashtanga practice and continue to travel to study with senior 500hr international teachers including Eddie Stern, Scott Johnson and Greg Nardi.

I teach with an emphasis on clear communication, empowerment, joy and compassion. I am especially interested in the neuroscience of yoga, how yoga can release physically held mental and emotional tension and how yoga can help us to live with greater joy, confidence and ease.

As well as studio classes I work within the community teaching in workplaces and education settings and to members of our community with physical and mental health challenges including those with deafness, who use a wheelchair and have cognitive challenges.

My classes are heart-lifting, empowering, flowing dances to the rhythm of the breath. I share movement and meditation practices with kindness, encouragement and joy - I hope to welcome you to a class soon.
