It enhances flexibility, balance, our ability to control our nervous system and to maintain a calm mind! Ashtanga yoga also teaches us thinking techniques to change our perspective so that we can live with more ease.
Yoga is most effective and life-enhancing when we practice regularly for a sustained period, so that our body and mind form the habit of awareness, flexibility, strength and balance. I love Lyn's approach at Tribe and I taught yoga at Tribe as we transitioned through the lockdowns - we wanted to continue this partnership and so I have created an exclusive membership for Tribe members.
Ashtanga yoga is strong and challenging to actively improve flexibility, strength and balance - but we practice the same sequence every week, so the benefits accumulate pretty quickly.
The beginners Ashtanga classes are Mondays and Thursdays. The Tuesday class is faster and Wednesday and Friday are for those who already have a yoga practice. Taught by Emma.
Hatha yoga is deeply relaxing and works on flexibility and releasing tension. Most of the time is spent in postures laying down or seated and the class includes a 30minute guided mindful relaxation. This class is taught by Angela
Groove is an insanely fun 'dance in your kitchen-style' cardio, strength and flexibility session with amazing music. Taught by Emma.
