The stress-busting, noise-making class

Channel your inner rockstar, release stress and have the most exhilarating 45minutes of your day with this full body cardio-jam session that especially targets often-neglected arms.

Instead of listening to music, you become the music hitting the specially designed drumsticks together and on the floor along to the music. Pound combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training.

POUND is a great brain work-out too improving creativity, mood and sense of connection. It can lower your stress levels, boost the immune system, lower blood pressure, and combat anxiety and fatigue. The entire philosophy is on feeling good in the mind to feel good in body. Options are offered making the class suitable for all bodies.

When will the classes start?

about the Teacher

Emma Groove & Pound

Emma has danced for fun all her life and loves to share her love of music and movement in her Groove, Barre Yoga and Pound classes, encouraging freedom of expression, joy, curiosity and a healthy dose of silliness.

She likes to remind us that Plato said “Music and rhythm find their way into the secret places of the soul” and that's her excuse for always breaking into dance! She believes we are all born with an innate desire to dance and that everyone should be empowered to dance in a way that feels good to them.

Emma trained with Misty Tripoli of the World Groove Movement, Marla Leigh of the Frame Drum Academy, Barre Concept and Pound. She is also our Ashtanga Yoga teacher and Studio Director!
