 BOOKING YOGA CLASSES & GENERAL ADVICE:

  • Most of our yoga classes are 'drop-ins' so you will pay on the day. There are a few where you need to book a space and this is indicated on the timetable.
  • All classes are suitable for beginners except where indicated.
  • Any changes to class schedules will be indicated on the timetable and homepage
  • By all means contact Mandala for information on classes.
  • For the majority of yoga classes, it is best not to eat 1-2 hours before.

Yin Yoga is a quiet and slow Yoga practice, each posture is held for several minutes. Soft music plays and you have time to find ease in your body.

'Self Practice' Yoga Space           Mondays 6pm - 8pm/£6

'Self Practice' allows you to work through your own yoga practice at your own pace. The teacher does not direct the sequence but provides assists and advice on a one to one basis,

Traditional Yoga

A fun class with music. The yoga postures flow into each other, but you may also have a short time holding them.

It is called 'hot' as the room will be warm and you’ll be moving from 'body shape' to 'body shape' which requires some effort and this produces heat!

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga/1 with Monthly Assisted Self Practice

                    Thursdays 6 - 7.45 pm/£7

  • Ashtanga is a challenging style of yoga, but you 'reap what you sow'.
  • Traditional & authentic teaching from a respected lineage of Ashtanga Yoga
  • Encouragement to learn the sequence/flow of the practice, so that you can make it your own practice, where-ever you are
  • Adjustments and modifications are offered to assist with safe practice & moving more comfortably. 
  • The main focus will be on the use of your breath to co-ordinate with the movements you do. Your practice then becomes a synchronised flow with body and breath. This, in time, can result in doing a moving meditation....
  • The first Thursday of each month will be 'Self-Practice'.

Hatha Yoga flow is an inclusive class suitable for 'beginners', as well as those who simply prefer a more calming practice.

 

Straight forward flow sequences, combining breath and movement to stretch and strengthen, followed by a guided relaxation to sooth the chatter in your mind, leaving you feeling refreshed.            (Not suitable during pregnancy)
